"My name is Susan Reimann. I have been IVIG therapy since 2005. The Neurological Consultant Infusion Center is a very warm, safe and enjoyable environment which makes the 3 hour infusion once a month a very positive experience. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable and inviting with cozy chairs, pillows, blankets and movies to enjoy and pass the time away in comfort.
I feel the IVIG therapy has slowed the progression of the Multiple Sclerosis. When I first began the therapy I had incredible bursts of energy for days after the infusion. After two years, I have not suffered any debilitating exacerbations and only minimal flare ups. From my perspective, the disease has not progressed dramatically, my limp has not worsened and the fatigue I experience before IVIG therapy has improved. The combination of IVIG and Betaseron attacks MS from two fronts and I feel confident it is slowing the progression of the disease."
"My name is Suzanne Hakar and I am a patient at the NCPC Infusion Center. Almost two years ago my life changed dramatically when I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. For several months after being diagnosed, exhaustion prevented me from getting out of bed and I struggled to care for myself. At 25 years of age, I worried the best part of my life was behind me.
After failing several medications, my gastroenterologist prescribed Remicade.
